The brief

Unfiltered Hospitality's visit to Moxy Banff aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the staff working behind the bar. The objective was to provide comprehensive training on creating a hospitable bar culture, and expert cocktail production, to ensure that the staff could confidently create cocktails, boozy milkshakes, and non-alcoholic drinks from the menu. Additionally, the training focused on educating the staff on technique, quality, and efficiency in cocktail production.

The Results

Unfiltered Hospitality's visit to Moxy Banff was highly productive, achieving several key objectives. Education on the 20 points of technique and quality, including round building exercises, enhanced speed and efficiency in cocktail production and guest service. Despite challenges such as distractions from the live construction site and missing elements like tools and glassware, the training progressed effectively. The team overcame these obstacles, demonstrating attentiveness and motivation throughout. Moving forward, continued practice and administering weekly written quizzes on cocktail recipes will further enhance skills and knowledge. Overall, the training laid a strong foundation, equipping the team with resources to continue learning and growing, with the recommendation for follow-up visits to further support their development.
